This is not a cookie cutter hotel or resort. Transportation to and from hotel was provided. We stayed in a canal cottage - it was very charming - air conditioning in bedroom only. Comfortable bed, adequate water pressure and electricity. Thatched roofs, wood plank floors - reminded me of a luxury camping experience. Beautiful grounds with artifacts and beautiful plants and flowers scattered throughout. Great food in the restaurant and very kind staff dispensing great service. The owner transported us willingly to the market, shopping center and attractions that we wanted to visit. I spent a very relaxing three days there. Wifi was inadequate, but I did not care. I loved this place but it is not for everyone.
Far from the airport and very hard to find. We had to ring and let them guide the Taxi driver to the place. Breakfast not before 8am - we needed to leave earlier !!!!, no arport shuttle we were lucky to find a taxi at 6:30 am. Hard to roll the luggage on the uneven path's. The rooms looked cheaply made and the shower in a high and big tiled bath needs getting used to.
Would definitely not stay again.
I had a comfortable stay for 3 nights. The coupon that I bought allowed me to have many meals with the restaurant. The food was of good quality and better was the service. Khun yo was very, very kind to me, helping my stay to be as much comfortable as possible, and all the staff in the resort that I met were friendly and polite too. I like the old Thai-style atmosphere of the resort, lots of tall green trees, smaller plants, natural pond with lotuses and fishes and turtle near where I sat and had breakfast, lots of birds, etc. If you want quietness, you should come in the middle of the week because fridays and weekends could be busy and noisty at the restaurant.
The only thing that I didn't like was the room that cannot protect you from hearing the noises outside. Other than that, I highly recommend this place.
